Research Interests
1. Functionalization and application of 2D nanomaterials
2. Self-assembly of 1D ultrathin nanowires
3. Metal oxide for energy related application (Li-S battery, fuel cells…)
Research Highlights
Ultrathin nanomaterials, which at least one dimension of the materials is less than 5 nm, or even 2 nm, show amazing size-effects compared to their bulk and traditional nanomaterials. Currently, we particularly devote to studying 1D ultrathin nanowires, and 2D ultrathin nanomaterials.
For 1D inorganic ultrathin nanowires, we explore the synthesis, and polymer-like properties of 1D ultrathin nanowires, and further fabricate 1D ultrathin nanowires based flexible devices.
For 2D ultrathin nanomaterials, we try to develop 2D ultrathin nanomaterial integrated hybrid nanostructures for energy conversion/storage, optoelectronics, catalysis, biomedicine.
