§  研发以垃圾焚烧灰、高含水率淤泥以及污染性soft clay为原料生产多种保温建材(建筑陶粒、外墙保温板、轻质隔墙板及多孔墙砖)的方法和生产过程。
§  研发新的光催化材料用于光催化还原CO2气体。

§  研发一种用低等级废玻璃生产高开孔率(>90%)泡沫玻璃的新方法并申请了一项美国发明专利
§  研发以垃圾焚烧灰为原料生产多种保温建材(建筑陶粒、外墙保温板、轻质隔墙板及多孔墙砖)的方法和生产过程。这些保温建材具有低吸水率、低热导系数、低密度、A级不燃、耐高温(>800 ºC)以及较高机械强度等优点,产品质量能与市面同类产品相媲美,甚至优于市面的同类产品。这些保温建材的生产原料98%为固体废弃物,绿色环保且成本低,具有很好的产业化前景
§  研究以废玻璃为原料生产小孔、高开孔率的玻璃过滤膜用于污水处理
§  研究回收处理钢渣用于部分取代混凝土中的碎石子并解决混凝土膨胀问题
§  设计并尝试中试生产高开孔率泡沫玻璃
§  指导3名学生做毕业设计

§  研发新的方法制备不同元素参杂的TiO2光催化薄膜用于光降解有机污染物以及应用于太阳能电池。这些研究成果在国际知名杂志(SCI)上发表了6篇文章。
§  研发一种多孔能纳米材料用于药物释放以及灭杀生物体内癌细胞。该研究成果在Advanced Healthcare Materials杂志上发表并申请了一个美国发明专利。
§  研发了一种光稳定的银络合物抗菌溶液并应用于健康保健以及公共设施,能有效减少细菌滋生和交叉传染。
§  第一个参与了新加坡南洋理工大学创新中心的Ph. D Entrepreneurship in Training Program. 在研发产品同时,由南洋理工大学创新中心全资赞助一年的产品市场开发、营销的培训。在研发和培训后期,由南洋理工大学创新中心资助,与Professor Tan(副院长)共同成立了AgiPlex公司。
§  指导5个本科毕业生、2个博士生、2个CN Yang奖学金获得者进行科学研究。
